Sri Bharathi Arts And Science College For Women
Pudukkottai is a historical Place, a princely state of the Thondamans. It was the first ever domain to merge voluntarily with the Indian Union after Independence. When Pudukkottai District was formed in 1974, Pudukkottai Town became the district headquarters. The town began to progress steadily in various fields.
It is often said that education is the foundation of a nation and much of the system of education. The system of education is in a state of flux, in conformity with the growing demands for new branches of knowledge and diversified advancement of the modern technological world.
Foreseeing this, the Bharathi Educational Trust deemed it fit to start a new college with the name “Sri Bharathi Arts and Science College for Women” in order to fulfill the ambition of the student population. This college is situated in Kaikkurichi Village, 5 K.M. away from Pudukkottai towards Aranthangi.
Our Institution aims at imparting value based education to the ladies of the countryside. the motto carries three great ideals to guide the youth in the right path.

Courage – the most essential quality to be developed to face anything and everything in our life.
The College has been started in the academic year 2005 – 06 with the basic idea to impart education to the Women, especially from rural areas. The College has started with 140 students in 2005 and has grown to a strength of 2200 students in its 14th academic year with 14 UG Courses, 6 PG Courses and 1 PG Certificate Course. M.Phil., in Tamil, and M.Phil in Commerce have been started in 2014-15 and in 2016 -2017 M.Phil in Computer Science and M.Phil Mathematics in 2017-2018 have been started. At present 112 Teaching Staff members & 21 Non Teaching staff are working.
The Vision and dreams of Mr. G. Dhanasekaran, Chairman of Sri Bharathi Educational Institutions have come into existence in reality, giving opportunity to women students from remote corners of Pudukkottai, to acquire higher education with minimum fee structure.
